Empower students to lead outbreak science

Outbreak Science Ambassadors help bring outbreak science to their schools, campuses, and communities through student-led simulations, education, and events.

Ambassadors lead student programming

Ambassadors create opportunities for others to explore how outbreaks spread, how people respond, and how individual decisions shape what happens next. Operation Outbreak provides the tools, resources, and support to help students lead. High school Ambassadors can start an Operation Outbreak Club, while college and university Ambassadors can establish an Operation Outbreak Embassy.

Operation Outbreak Clubs

Clubs are designed for high school students ages 14 and older. With support from a teacher or staff sponsor, Junior Ambassadors can run simulations, explore the Outbreak Science curriculum, organize activities for their school community, and participate in Operation Outbreak programs and competitions.

We provide free learning materials, facilitator resources, and support to help each Club get started and grow.

Operation Outbreak Embassies

Embassies are student-led chapters at colleges and universities. Ambassadors can run simulations on campus, organize outbreak-science programming, connect the work to coursework and research, and support nearby schools and community partners.

We provide facilitator training, program materials, and ongoing support as each Embassy develops.
